How to Report Standing Water or Other Suspected Mosquito Habitat:

The District should be notified to report suspected mosquito habitat.  We have developed a form that can be used for that purpose (download one as an MS Word document or in pdf format), and the forms should be faxed to the District (Attn: Dave Brown  916 685-5464).  However, Dave noted that their staff is so familiar with the areas around town that the use of the forms is not essential -- just call the District (800 429-1022 between 7:00 am and 3:30 pm), give a brief description of the problem and area, and they will find it.

Alternatively, you can send information to Control Operations of Yolo County, 1234 Fortna Avenue, Woodland, CA 95695, Phone (800) 429-1022, fax (530) 668-3403.

The person at the City of Davis who is in charge of WNV matters relative to our City parks is Jim Newman.  If you observe a problem area anywhere in the City you can report standing water by calling 757-5633.  Alternatively, you can use the Citizen Requests page.  It is found on the City's Website under the "Quick Links" section (bottom of main web page).  The Citizen Requests main page shows a category called "standing water".  If it is a matter that involves parks only and you do not get satisfaction in either of the above ways you can send Jim email at JNewman@cityofdavis.org.  Jim said that you can also talk with Pat Riley.

How to Report Suspected Problems After Spraying:

Use our Incident-Report form and send it to us by mail, fax, or email -- directions are on the form.
